German Educare Collaborates with Sunway College and Paragon Private & International School in Unlocking Further Study Opportunities

German Educare has signed Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with Sunway College Johor Bahru and Paragon Private & International School respectively.

These collaborations will look to actively drive comprehension of the German language amongst youth in the state as a first step in preparing local students to unlock further study opportunity in Germany.

The collaboration will see language classes and cultural workshops conducted weekly at the
institutions beginning in the first quarter of 2023.

“As Johor-natives ourselves, we are delighted to be able to give back to Johorian youth through our collaboration with Sunway College Johor Bahru and Paragon Private & International School.
These classes will help students learn not only the language but about the country and its
culture too. A perfect first step in pursuing further education in Germany – something that we are German Educare are well versed in,” Gyvinne Koh, Director of German Educare said.

The classes will be conducted by teachers, trainers and student advisors as provided for by
German Educare. Meanwhile, the two educational institutions will look to enrol students into the programme.

“We are proud to be working together with German Educare to further enrich the learning
experience of our students both currently and in the future. We expect to see a positive
reception from our students for this programme and are looking forward to the classes
beginning next year,” said Dato Jeffrey Lai Jiun Jye, Ceo of Paragon Private & International
School.

The partnership was marked by an MoU signing ceremony held at the DoubleTree by Hilton, Johor Bahru that was witnessed by His Excellency Dr. Peter Blomeyer, German Ambassador to Malaysia as well as representatives from both educational institutions, amongst others.

“At German Educare we are looking to give the next generation of students the best opportunities at education. We ourselves were privileged to have studied in Germany and have experienced the benefits first-hand,” Gyvinne continued.

“Equipped with that and the knowledge of what it takes to successfully study there, we are working collaboratively with local educational institutions to provide all that is required. Even if the students don’t wind up studying in Germany, the language and cultural classes would have still been immensely beneficial especially here in Johor Bahru – which features the nation’s 3rd
largest collection of German companies,” Gyvinne concluded.

These partnerships are the latest in a series of collaborations that German Educare has forged,
including ongoing collaborations with Methodist College Kuala Lumpur (MCKL) and St Joseph’s
International School Kuching (SJIS).
