FABINDIA Malaysia To Open Five Stores In The Next Two Years

Marking the celebrations Sabarinath Jothi, The Founder & CEO of Reach Global SEA Sdn. Bhd. spoke about the important milestones and also the challenges they have overcome in the past 4 years. Speaking about the challenges he mentioned covid-19 has been the biggest of all. Despite the pandemic in the year 2021 we were able to push our sales through our online ecommerce platforms.

The company was started with the mission of making high quality fashion products more affordable and accessible to all. We have been constantly endeavoring to bring high quality products to our customers in Malaysia. The company’s association with FABINDIA as a franchise partner has been a very meaningful and fruitful one. Fabindia is an established brand in India with over 60 years of experience, they have really helped us expand the business in this region.

The sales have been quite consistent from the beginning and the store has always been cash flow positive except for the months of covid-19. Sabari further added that he expects a strong surge in demand in the retail business this year. We launched our first fabindia store in One Utama Mall and also the next two online stores in Lazada and Shopee. We have been growing the online business YOY, especially during the pandemic time our online sales increased 3x times. We have a dedicated team to cater our online business and manage our inventory for our omnichannel sales platforms.

Sharing another good news, Sabari also mentioned they were awarded emerging retail fashion brand of the year 2021 by TIN media. We thank TIN media for recognizing our hard work and efforts.

Talking about the future plans, Buelah Subramaniam, Co-Founder and COO of Reach Global SEA Sdn Bhd., mentioned that they have plans to add 5 more stores in the next 2 years. There will be 2 physical stores and 3 more online stores. Our strategy has been a hybrid business model and we will continue in that direction.

Buelah added that, “We have plans to expand to the ASEAN market in the next 2 years. We will be setting up a dedicated Warehouse and inventory to cater to the online and ecommerce markets”.

The goal has always been adding quality fashion products under our umbrella by launching our own brands and also bringing franchise partner’s from all over the world. We are looking forward to 2023 because the sales have come back to pre covid times and we are expecting a consistent surge in the sales. We are in advanced talks to introduce 2 more brands in the year 2023.

Another good thing about our brand is we have been accepted warmly by all Malaysians. We have customers from all ethnicities, Malays, Chinese & Indians.
