Free Tolls On The 20th And 21st; This Is What You Need To Know Before You Hit The Toll Gate Barriers!

Our Prime Minister recently announced that everyone gets free toll on the 20th and 21st of January in conjunction with Chinese New Year.

In case some of you are wondering, yes, you still have to scan your Touch n Go card/SmarTAG/RFID and not just zoom through the toll booths expecting the toll gate barriers to be opened throughout those two days.

For example, if you are from Damansara Utama and heading toward Butterworth, you have to use the Damansara toll right to get onto the PLUS highway right? You just need to scan your Touch n Go card/SmarTAG/RFID at the toll booth and once you have exited Juru toll, you need to scan them again, and BOOM!, you won’t get charged.

But what if you exit Juru toll at 12.01am on the 22nd of January? Well, that’s too bad as you will be charged the normal amount for your toll charges.

We hope this clears up any doubts some of you may have regarding this!

Happy Chinese New Year, stay safe, and have a safe journey!
