CJ Century Logistics Holdings Berhad for its full-year financial results achieved record revenue of RM930.396 million, representing an increase of 10.4% from RM843.022 million posted in the corresponding period of the preceding year (“FY21”). Profit after tax and minority interests improved by 48.5%, from RM18.953 million in FY21, to RM28.151 million during the financial year under review.
On a quarterly basis, the Group’s revenue increased marginally to RM204.511 million from RM204.171 million recorded in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. On the other hand, PATMI fell by 13.7% from RM6.089 million in 4QFY21 to RM5.254 million for the quarter under review due to higher cost provision during 4QFY22.
Steven Teow, Chief Executive Officer of CJ Century, shared that the company’s strong results are due to the robust growth in logistics demand both globally and domestically. “In this financial year, our key segments have performed better thanks to the dedication of our employees. We will continue to take prudent measures in our operations and financials to ensure we remain resilient.
Steven expressed confidence that the company will perform even better in the coming years, against the backdrop of continued volume expansion and further complemented by improved efficiency as well as cost-pricing management. “I am indeed very positive about the outlook of CJ Century and I am confident we will continue charting another record performance in 2023”.
The Board of Directors has declared a single tier final dividend of 1.0 sen per ordinary share in respect of FY22, of which entitlement date will be 15 March 2023 and payment date will be 30 March 2023. The Company had earlier paid an interim dividend of 0.5 sen per ordinary share in respect of FY22.
