Pekat Group Berhad said its business as usual despite facing a RM2.2 million claims over supply and installation of two solar photovoltaic systems from Multiplex Packaging Sdn Bhd.
The company said it is seeking the necessary legal advice to defend this matter and an appearance has been entered to defend the Writ. The management of the company strongly affirmed that the case will not hinder or affect the continuation of the Group’s on-going or future projects as the amount claimed is not expected to have any material financial impact on the
company.
Pekat’s wholly-owned subsidiary Pekat Solar Sdn Bhd received a writ of summons and statement of claim from Multiplex dated Feb 16, 2023 pertaining to disputes on the supply and installation of two solar PV systems under the net energy metering (NEM) system and self-consumption (selco) system allowable by the Energy Commission at the material time.
