Bursa Ends Morning Session Higher

Bursa Malaysia ended the morning trading session higher as bargain-hunting activities emerged amid improved market sentiments, an analyst said.

At 12.30pm, the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) rose 4.84 points to 1,427.43 from last Friday’s close of 1,422.59.

The main index opened 4.18 points higher at 1,426.77 and moved to as high as 1,431.88 throughout the session.

Market breadth was positive as gainers thumped decliners at 523 to 265, while 366 counters were unchanged, 1,072 untraded, and 32 others suspended.
