Pestech Signs EPC Contract Worth AUD2.2 Million For Power Project In PNG

PESTECH has received the countersigned Formal Instrument of Agreement from DT Global Asia Pacific Pty. Ltd. a company incorporated in Australia, for the contract to engineer, procure, construct, and commission the PNG Power Limited Arawa Mini Grid, Autonomous Region of Bougainville, Papua New Guinea..

This is part of the Economic and Social Infrastructure Program, the contract value is AUD2,234,284.57. Included in the Contract Price above are Provisional Sum totalling AUD430,000 for selected items to be determined during the execution of the Project.

Over and above the Contract Price, there is an additional AUD1,270,573.56 Pre-Agreed Variation scope to be confirmed by 31 May 2023.  Similarly, there is a Provisional Sum totalling AUD150,000 for selected items to be determined during the execution of the Project.

As such, the total potential contract price could be AUD3,504,858.13 for the entire full scope of the Project.

Under the Project, PESTECH will be engaged as the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction turnkey works for the engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning of a hybrid diesel and photovoltaic generation system and associated works at PPL’s existing facility in Arawa, Autonomous Region of Bougainville. 

ESIP seeks to deliver increased efficiency, reliability, and lower Green House Gas emission via the Project.  Over its service life, the completed system is expected to provide PPL and its consumers with a reliable source of energy that is easier and more cost-effective to maintain.

The stated Date of Practical Completion of the Project is 10 January 2024.
