2023 E-wallet Assistance Now Extended To All Students In The Country: Anwar

The government will extend the 2023 e-Wallet assistance to all students in the country. Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said this is so that the aid can be used by those groups.

“I will decide that e-Wallet can be used by all students. Okay, satisfied,” he said briefly at a dialogue session with students of Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) here, today.

Earlier, the issue was raised by Majlis Perwakilan Pelajar (MPP) of UiTM Melaka after finding that the 2023 budget presented by Anwar previously included an e-wallet aid of RM 200 for the recipient category aged 18 to 20. This caused students of a certain age not to receive the benefits and those in the single category are equally unqualified.
