The Ministry of Human Resources has come out stating on claims reporting that the Foreign Employee Recruitment System and Human Resource Management could address issues on human trafficking is untrue.
News reports mentioned that the SPDRM is said to be able to address the issue of human trafficking as well as accelerate the entry of foreign workers to this country and that it had the full support of the Human Resource Ministry is also false.
The Ministry in a statement issued to the media said no discussions have ever been held about SPDRM with any party and that all information pertaining to the matter is not true at all.
It was noted that the matter had caused confusion among employers or industries, especially Diplomatic Representations of Source Countries in this country regarding SPDRM.
