Theory Exams For Vocational Driving License Abolished From Now

Drivers will no longer be required to complete theoretical exams in order to earn occupational driving licenses, Transport Minister Anthony Loke said today (April 10).

He stated that the theory component of the vocational driving licence will be delivered via online lessons, but that drivers must still pass their practical exams.

“The following steps will be taken to improve the vocational licence procedure, which consists of the public service vehicle licence category and goods vehicle licence.”

“Theory tests for all vocational licences and theory classes for vocational licences can be done on a pay-as-you-go basis,” he stated.
