Japan Donates $1.1 Million Worth Of Cold Chain Equipment, Vehicles To MOH

Japan has provided approximately $1.1 million worth of cold chain equipment and vehicles to the Ministry of Health Malaysia through United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), and the handover ceremony was hosted by the Minister of Health, YB Dr. Zaliha Binti Mustafa at Ministry of Health on April 14.

This donation is a part of the Emergency Grant Aid of approximately 41 million US  dollars for countries in Southeast Asia, Southwest Asia and Pacific Islands that  suffer from the impact of COVID-19. The purpose of the donation in Malaysia is to provide “Last One Mile Support” for the vaccination against COVID-19 and other infectious diseases through UNICEF. 

At the ceremony, Ambassador TAKAHASHI expressed his great pleasure in making this donation on behalf of the Government and people of Japan, and his sincere  hope that this ”Last One Mile Support” will contribute to improving the treatment of Malaysian friends infected with the Covid-19 and other diseases in hard-to reach areas.
