UiTM Apologises For Data Leakage Of Nearly 12,000 Applicants

Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) has apologised for the mistake made that led to the data leakage of nearly 12,000 university applicants.

The university said that the link to the list had been deactivated and an update had been made.

“We apologise for the mistake,” it said in a tweet.

Yesterday, a Twitter user claimed that UiTM had published the MyKad numbers and emails of nearly 12,000 applicants on an unsecured link.
