Starting from 6am on May 12th, train services to six LRT stations namely Stesen Bandaraya, Sultan Ismail, PWTC, Titiwangsa, Sentul, and Sentul Timur will resume.
This is because the initial stage of repairing overhead structures and rails near the Bandaraya LRT station has been completed.
Trains that need maintenance will be taken to the LRT depot in Ampang and substituted with other trains for regular services.
According to a statement by Rapid Rail Sdn Bhd on Thursday (May 11), train operations to the six stations (Stesen Bandaraya, Sultan Ismail, PWTC, Titiwangsa, Sentul, and Sentul Timur) were stopped temporarily on April 2nd because the trains in use did not meet the safety requirements and had to be removed.
The statement also mentioned that the LRT 11, 13, and 14 bus services will be stopped with the reopening of the six stations.
Rapid Rail has announced that to provide a better commuting experience for passengers, they will restart the temporary shuttle service (LRT Bus 10) that links the Masjid Jamek and Bandaraya LRT stations.
The service had been temporarily suspended between the two stations. The shuttle service will operate using ten buses, with a frequency of ten minutes between each bus.
