Communication Minister Fahmi Fadzil in his Twitter post said he will bring the matter of scalpers after a netizen tagged the Minister on how some people are reselling Coldplay ticket Cat 1 for a mad RM43000 on social media.
The Minister explained the jurisdiction of ticket sales falls under the Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry but he assured that the matter will be brought up to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim in his reply. Notably, Anwar was among the first to officially welcome the band to Malaysia on his official Twitter after the announcement was made.
Many Malaysians are crying foul after tickers for the popular band sold out within 3 hours of opening, many frustrated fans waited hours on the official ticketing site only to be informed the tickets are all sold.
