Veuve Clicquot Celebrates 250th Anniversary with an Ode to Solaire

To commemorate its 250th anniversary and years of excellence, Veuve Clicquot recently celebrated the special occasion with its winemaker, Marie Charlemagne at an exclusive gastronomy experience in Beta KL, featuring its iconic Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label on her maiden trip to Malaysia.

Its 250-year heritage was celebrated with avant-garde culture and its iconic yellow colour. The celebration showcased the House’s ability to reinvent itself in oenology and design through inspiration and innovation.

The 250th anniversary, as part of its House’s solaire culture expresses one of Madame Clicquot’s convictions that each new day opens new paths to build a brighter future.

The brand also featured its iconic bottle design illustrating the solaire nature of Veuve Clicquot, featuring the colour of the rising sun that has been included on its labels since 1877 – is the first embodiment at the celebrations.

The Veuve Clicquot vineyard, established from historic plots in Verzy, Verzenay, and Bouzy, has grown into one of the largest in the Champagne region.

Madame Clicquot and the next generation of vineyard directors at Veuve Clicquot were instrumental in developing the vineyard, which now spans 393 hectares and supplies the House with grapes.

The vineyard’s exceptional quality is reflected in its distribution over the best Crus in Champagne, with an average classification close to 96% based on winegrowing characteristics and grape quality.

As part of the event, a select group of guests were treated to an exclusive tasting of the Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label Champagne, paired with the culinary creations of Beta KL’s renowned chef, each dish is a harmonious union of flavours that elevates the dining experience to new heights.

Veuve Clicqout’s expert winemaker Marie Charlemagne joined them and took guests on a historical and enhancing tasting journey of its iconic Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label.
