Citaglobal To Appoint Female Director By End June After Missing Deadline

Citaglobal Bhd has said it will appoint a female director to the board by the end of June as the group had missed the deadline imposed by Bursa where all PLCs must have at least one director by June 1.

The company said it had found a candidate in May and nominated a woman director to its board however the candidate had
turned down the directorship after much consideration on May 31, as she foresaw a potential conflict of interest that could arise from her appointment.

Citaglobal has accepted the reasons and said it will appoint another woman director by the end of June 2023. The company further added that it is committed to complying with Bursa’s board diversity requirement and fully embraces the benefits that come with this diversity, such as improved decision-making, enhanced ability to attract talent, increased resilience, and stronger stakeholder relationships.
