GIIB Makes Announcement On New Chairman And Appoints Advisor

GIIB Holdings Berhad has appointed Dato’ Sri Hj Wan Adnan Bin Wan Mamat as the new Chairman, with immediate effect while Mr. Tai Boon Wee remains as the CEO of the company it said in a statement.

The new chairman, Dato’ Sri Wan Adnan brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his new role. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Kyoto, Japan, and has a distinguished career in both the public and private sectors.

Separately, GIIB has announced the appointment of Tan Sri Datuk Robert Phang Miow Sin, also known as “Tan Sri Robert,” as the Group Executive Advisor. Tan Sri Robert is recognised for his efforts in combating crime and his philanthropic endeavours, which include numerous contributions to assist the underprivileged and shed light on social injustices. He has previously served as an Advisor to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission and as a council member of the Malaysia Crime Prevention Foundation. Tan Sri Robert’s role within the company will involve providing guidance to the management team in areas such as law enforcement, communication with authorities, business networking, and fostering relations with China and other nations.
