Bursa Malaysia ended the morning trading session lower, weighed down by persistent selling among the heavyweights, particularly the healthcare and financial services counters.
At 12.30pm, the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) fell 1.88 points to 1,388 from 1,389.88 at Monday’s close. The key index opened 0.99 of a point better at 1,390.87 in the morning and moved between 1,387.06 and 1,393.38 throughout the session.
The broader market was negative as decliners beat gainers 407 to 279, while 375 counters were unchanged, 1,274 untraded and 40 others suspended. Turnover stood at 1.48 billion units worth RM681.12 million.
