Industry Veteran Zainariah Johari Appointed New CEO at MyCreative Ventures

MyCreative Ventures has announced the appointment of industry veteran Zainariah Johari as its new CEO replacing Junady Nawawi who ended his term of service.

With more than three decades worth of experience in various fields, Zainariah is a seasoned professional in the creative industry. Having been the Head of the Arts, Culture, and Public Space impact area for over seven years at Yayasan Hasanah, a foundation of Khazanah Nasional Berhad, she was actively involved in the success of initiatives such as the Hasanah Special Grant and “Arts for all Seasons” (ArtsFAS). These efforts impacted more than 5,000 art organisations and artists nationwide and generated thousands of employment opportunities.

Zainariah set up the ‘Cultural Frontliners’ initiative that brought buskers and musicians to perform at the MITEC vaccination centre which provided livelihoods for them at the height of the pandemic. This initiative was then emulated by other vaccination centres. She was also a content entrepreneur and a CEO at Asia Pacific Videolab. She received Emmy Award nomination recognition for her work, “The Challenger.”

“We welcome Zainariah to MyCreative. With a comprehensive background and well- rounded portfolio spanning private and Government sectors, her insights offer a holistic view of supporting and developing our Orange Economy players. We would also like to take this opportunity to thank Junady for his brilliant leadership. He has successfully led MyCreative through the pandemic era and produced favourable outcomes,” said Dato’ Muhammad Bakhtiar Wan Chik, Group Chairman of MyCreative.
