Bursa Malaysia ended the morning trading session lower on Monday (July 17), tracking softer regional market sentiment, as investors digest China’s key economic data, an analyst said.
At 12.30pm, the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI fell 8.19 points to 1,403.90, from 1,412.09 at Friday’s close. The barometer index opened 0.32 of-a-point lower at 1,411.70, and moved between 1,403.37 and 1,411.77 throughout the session.
The broader market was negative, as decliners led gainers 396 to 377, while 373 counters were unchanged, 1,124 untraded, and 18 others suspended.
