Naza Corp Acquires Berjaya Enviro For RM700 Million

NAZA Corp announced its proposed acquisition of 100% stake in Berjaya Enviro Holdings from Berjaya Group for RM700 million making itself potentially entering the Municipal Solid Waste, Scheduled Waste and Waste to Energy Sectors.

The announcement came a signing of the Share Sale Agreement (SSA) between NAZA and Berjaya Group Berhad, a subsidiary of Berjaya Corp, marking significant milestone the group said which presents it with a unique opportunity to become a leading player in Malaysia’s waste management sector. Accordingly Naza will also take over 7 entities under BEnviro, namely, BPJ-Berjaya Sdn Bhd, Berjaya Eco Services Sdn Bhd, Save the Sea Sdn Bhd, Berjaya Enviro Parks Sdn Bhd, Amita Berjaya Sdn Bhd, J&T Berjaya Alam Murni Sdn Bhd and Berjaya Energies Sdn Bhd.

According to SM Nasarudin SM Nasimuddin, NAZA’s Group Executive Chairman, “NAZA Group has been exploring new sectors that align with its vision of sustainable development, resource efficiency, and upholding the highest standards of environmental stewardship.
