The Minister of Domestic Trade and Costs of Living Datuk Seri Salahuddin Ayub passed away at the Hospital Sultanah Bahiyah, Alor Setar, Kedah at 9.23 pm (July 23). The minister’s remains will be taken to his mother’s house in Kampung Serkat in Tanjung Piai, Johor.
The news was announced by his daughter Fatihah Salahuddin on her Facebook account. Salahuddin who was also Pulai MP, suffered from brain haemorrhage at 10.15 pm the day before and underwent surgery Sunday morning. He leaves behind his wife and six children.
Condolences were shared across the Ministries, including from Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Fadilah Yusof.
