Integrated Facilities Management service provider, GFM Services Berhad, and Universiti Teknologi Malaysia’s Centre for Real Estate Studies (UTM CRES), have today signed a MoU to express their intentions to establish a foundation for collaboration in relation to the development of expertise in the areas of asset and facilities management, through training programmes, joint research, as well as awareness-building initiatives.
Under the MoU, GFM and UTM CRES will explore various areas of cooperation including, among others:
- Develop areas of expertise in asset and facilities management for researchers and UTM CRES;
- Provide industrial training placements for UTM CRES researchers at GFM’s group of companies;
- Jointly organise seminars, conferences and professional programs, and other similar activities;
- Develop relevant recognized courses or training;
- Exchange mutually beneficial information, as well as other materials for research and publication purposes; and
- Expand the network of cooperation and promote the commercialisation of results of UTM CRES.
Through this collaboration, GFM is committed to fostering synergy with UTM by facilitating sharing of knowledge with the aim of creating meaningful advancements in the asset and facilities management industry.
