Selangor To Build 60,000 Affordable Homes In Next 2 Years

Approximately 53,514 Rumah Selangorku units have been offered to the public online, via Sistem Penawaran Hartanah Negeri Selangor, said state executive councillor for housing Rodziah Ismail.

She said 34,288 units have since been completed and handed over to buyers, while the remaining 19,226 units are currently under construction and expected to be completed by 2025.

The homes are part of the state administration’s commitment to develop 60,000 units of affordable homes, under the First Selangor Plan.

“With each completed unit, it means one family in Selangor now owns their own home and no longer needs to rent on the open market,” Rodziah said.

Rodziah added that since 2014, a total of 227,784 housing units encompassing 407 projects have been approved by the state government for low and middle-income citizens.

“I believe with the introduction of these units into the market, it will alleviate the needs of the low-income (B40) and middle-income (M40) groups, especially in the period leading up to 2025,” she said.

Rodziah urged the public to verify the authenticity of government-implemented projects via the Rumah Selangorku registration system via the link ehartanah.lphs.gov.my.

“LPHS will not hesitate to lodge police reports against any social media accounts, individuals, companies, or entities found to advertise housing projects by misusing the Selangor state crest and the agency’s logo without permission, as well as falsely representing themselves as Rumah Selangorku agents.
