Rahmah Allo Offers More Affordable Fixed Broadband Internet Package (Updated)

The Minister of Communications and Digital Fahmi Fadzil today (July 28) launched the RAHMAH Allo Package together with telecommunication service provider company Allo Technology Sdn. Bhd. (Allo), a subsidiary of Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB).

Until today, Allo’s coverage area includes Kedah, Perak, Penang, Cyberjaya, Negeri Sembilan, Melaka and Johor.

This package offers fixed broadband Internet access at a lower price to the target group B40 group, Persons with Disabilities (OKU), Senior Citizens, Malaysian Armed Forces Veterans (ATM), Royal Malaysian Police Retirees (PDRM) and Maritime Enforcement Agency Retirees Malaysia (APMM).

The offer coincides with the goal of the Unity Government to reduce the burden of the cost of living since Allo has a focus on coverage in suburban and rural areas.

Subscription to Allo’s RAHMAH Package is priced at RM69 for Internet with speeds up to 100 Mbps with unlimited data for a 24-month subscription contract. This is a saving of RM30 per month or RM720 over the course of a 24-month contract compared to Allo’s current package of RM99 per month.

The package, starting today, also have no time limit with perpetual offers.

Also present at the ceremony were the Deputy Minister of Communications and Digital Teo Nie Ching; Secretary General of the Ministry of Communications and Digital (KKD) Datuk Mohamad Fauzi Md Isa and Allo’s Chief Executive Officer Ir. Mohamed Ghous Ahmad.

Fahmi also said all Unity Package initiatives have been rebranded as Rahmah Package to commemorate the initiatives mooted by the late Minister of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Datuk Seri Salahuddin Ayub.

“It is also in line with the Cabinet’s decision last Tuesday to have that ‘Rahmah’ be rebranded as a national initiative for the B40 group,” he added.
