BMW Malaysia Presents The iX M60, An Electric SAV With 619 Horse Power

BMW Malaysia launched its first all-electric BMW iX M60 alongside the latest iteration of the BMW M2, the first all-electric sports activity vehicle (SAV) variant and the latest generation of the best-selling compact high-performance coupe.

As the inaugural all-electric SAV model of the BMW M portfolio, the First All-Electric BMW iX M60 features advanced technology and exceptional driving characteristics to deliver hallmark M performance. On the other hand, the New BMW M2 is the boldest two-door compact coupé ever built in its class. The New BMW M2 shares all that makes the BMW M3 and BMW M4 brilliant, complemented by a chassis that offers racetrack technology to the road.

The iX M60 features a maximum output of 455 kW/619 hp and an outstanding electric range of up to 561 kilometres (WLTP) – making it one of the fastest electric models in BMW’s portfolio of premium performance vehicles, thanks to optimised aerodynamics with a drag coefficient of 0.26. Accompanied by an emotive sound design from BMW M IconicSounds Electric designed by Hans Zimmer, the new Launch Control feature offers the vehicle a powerful start with up to 1,100 Nm of torque and a maximum of 619 HP, providing a slip-free sprint to 100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds and a top speed of 250km/h.

As for the M2, the coupe packs in a three-litre M TwinPower Turbo six cylinder in-line engine. With engineering roots in motor racing, it is capable of delivering an astounding 460 hp (330 kW) and 550 Nm of torque, courtesy of key optimisations, such as a new lightweight crankshaft, a racetrack-designed oil supply/cooling system and high-pressure injection at 350 bars. Mated to an eight- speed Steptronic Sport transmission, the engine is capable of propelling the New BMW M2 to 100 km/h from a complete standstill in just 4.1 seconds, with a top speed of 250 km/h.

The retail pricing (on the road, without insurance) for the New BMW M2 and New BMW M2 Pro with
