Silverlake Axis Partners Safeguards Corp To Be Malaysia’s First Independent ATM Deployer

Silverlake Axis has announced a new partnership with Safeguards Corporation Sdn Bhd to implement Malaysia’s first Independent ATM Deployer (“IAD”) to provide inclusive financial services to every corner of the country. The project also involved IBM, and Wanclouds as partners.

Bank Negara Malaysia recently highlighted its strategy to improve financial inclusion in the country – with underserved segments a major element of it. This partnership allows SAL to achieve its own similar mission in Malaysia and beyond, by breaking down barriers between underserved communities and essential financial services. This first-ever IAD deployment on cloud solution in Malaysia is powered by the Silverlake ATM/CRM Acquirer Switch. Through this IAD Partnership, SAL and SCS jointly bring financial inclusion to the underserved locations in East and West Malaysia by deploying Cash Recycler
Machines under the SCS brand.

As part of this strategic partnership, SCS is also deploying the Checker ATM Security© by gMV, provided by Silverlake MasterSam. “Financial inclusion is one of our utmost priorities in all key markets – Malaysia being a frontrunner. The new project is the first-ever public cloud implementation of the Silverlake Integrated Banking Solution (SIBS), enabling full migration to the cloud down the line”, shared Andrew Tan, Group Managing Director of SAL. “In Safeguards Group, we have found the ideal strategic partner that complements our strong convictions as 100% successful solution partners
to this National Cause and our collaboration will help us realise our goal of inclusion.
