Pos Malaysia Loss Widens To RM54 Million For The 6 Months Reported

Pos Malaysia Berhad announced its Q2, 2023 results with a revenue of RM465.2 million for the three months ending 30 June 2023, and an improvement of 14.4% in its Loss Before Taxes at RM20.8 million versus the first quarter of 2023. The national postal company saw its losses widen to RM27 million compared to RM5 million in its previous year’s quarter, and 1H loss grew to RM54 million.

Pos Malaysia Berhad’s Group Chief Executive Officer, Charles Brewer said, “We are fully focused on improving our financial performance, embracing digital technology, enhancing the customer journey and championing sustainability for a greener and cleaner future. Our unwavering focus is on creating a business model that prioritises the welfare of our employees,
customers, and the environment.”

Commenting on the outlook for the rest of the year, Charles said, “Going forward, while the headwinds will likely persist, we are cautiously optimistic and anticipate an improved result for the Group in 2023.
