Zecon And Neuto To Build 2MW Rooftop Solar PV For A Children’s Hospital

Zecon Berhad has signed an MOU with Neuto Energy Sdn Bhd to establish a strategic collaboration to design, deliver, construct, test and commission the 2MW rooftop solar photovoltaic at Hospital Pakar Kanak-Kanak Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia.

Zecon’s wholly owned subsidiary Zecon Medicare Sdn Bhd presently holds a 30-year asset management service concession of HPKK, under a Public Private Partnership project through a Build, Lease, Maintain, and Transfer concept.

Neuto, on the other hand, is a local CleanTech company with over 15 years of proven track record in solar & hydrogen projects from its suite of services.

Under the terms of the MoU, Neuto will serve as a technology design partner for the PV module capacity, which encompasses layout optimisation and lower degradation of panel technologies. Additionally, it will lead in developing all technical proposals during the pre-and-post development stages of the project. Zecon, on the other hand, shall act as the construction partner and owner of the rooftop solar PV project.

The group said the project is expected to generate at least 250,000 kWh of energy per month with an estimated CO2 reduction of up to 154 tonnes per month.
