airasia academy, MOHR To Uplift TVET Talents Readiness For IR 4.0

The edutech platform of Capital A, airasia academy, is looking forward to achieving and realising the goals and objectives set in its Memorandum of Collaboration (MoC) with the Ministry of Human Resources Malaysia (MOHR) that was signed earlier in March.

The initiative was aimed at fortifying the skill sets of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) students, along with upskilling the esteemed MOHR staff through digital and soft skills training.

The collaboration between the two takes a big leap forward with the visit by Minister of Human Resources, YB V. Sivakumar to airasia academy’s training and learning centre here on Friday.

The Minister and his delegates from MOHR held a formal discussion with the management team of airasia academy led by its CEO Aireen Omar to further solidify the collaboration between the two.

Aireen Omar, President (Investment & Ventures) Capital A and CEO of airasia academy, said: “The visit by the minister is a testament to his unwavering support for developing and equipping Malaysia’s workforce with the necessary skills and knowledge in the digital era in its effort to raise employability of TVET talents.

“airasia academy is committed to driving Malaysia’s digital economy by empowering individuals with the skills required to flourish in the current Industrial Revolution 4.0. Our collaboration with the Ministry of Human Resources is a resolute step towards upskilling and reskilling Malaysians with the requisite proficiencies.”

Additionally, as part of the larger airasia ecosystem, airasia academy collaborates closely with its sister companies within the Capital A group of companies, including airasia Superapp’s airasia ride to strengthen the TVET talents’ portfolios.

This collaborative effort extends its support not only to traditional career pathways but also to the growing gig economy workforce. For instance, airasia ride drivers are empowered to upskill and reskill themselves by joining training and learning programs provided by airasia academy and advance their careers in digital and tech.

Through these initiatives, airasia academy demonstrates its commitment to comprehensively enhance the skills and prospects of TVETs talent, contributing to their holistic development within the ever-evolving employment landscape, at par with the Industrial Revolution 4.0.
