HSS Integrated Appointed Lead Structural And Civil Consultant For Subang Airport Regeneration

HSSI has informed that it had accepted a Letter of Award from Malaysia Airports Sdn Bhd confirming the appointment as the Lead Consultant (Civil and Structural Engineer) for the Preparation, Submission, and Approval of the Amendment to the Master Layout Plan (Pelan Induk Perancangan) of Lapangan Terbang Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah and the Subsequent Infrastructure Works and Associated Works for Malaysia Airports Sdn Bhd – Phase 2 and Phase 3.

The company said the contract is expected to contribute positively to the revenue, earnings, and net assets of HEB Group for the financial years ending 31 December 2023 to 31 December 2028.

The risk factors affecting the contract include, but are not limited to execution risks, such as dependency on the schedule of implementation and progress of the project given the role of HSSI as described above. Nonetheless, it said it has, throughout the years, established its track record and expertise in undertaking such projects.

The estimated RM330 million Subang Airport regeneration plan was submitted by Malaysian Airports Holdings Berhad in which it submitted a comprehensive strategic plan for the long-term development of Lapangan Terbang Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah (LTSAAS) to the Government. The plan which has been verified through extensive benchmarking and stakeholder engagements, and further validated by independent parties is premised on three focus areas, namely Aerospace Ecosystem, Business Aviation, and Urban Community Airport. It is meant to propel LTSAAS into becoming the preferred aerospace and business aviation hub in Asia Pacific in the next 5 years

It also serves as an accelerator hub for MARA in entrepreneurship development and education.
