Shah Alam Imposes 2 Hour Parking Limit In 67 Jurisdiction, No Appeal For Violation

Beginning September 4, the Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) will be enforcing a two-hour parking limit on designated bays in 67 locations under its jurisdiction.

The local authority reminded in a Facebook post yesterday that users who utilise these bays will be charged RM1.20 per hour.

There will be a cooling-off period of an hour before motorists are allowed to re-park at any two-hour parking bays.

Enforcement takes effect from 8am to 5pm every Monday to Friday.

MBSA said the implementation is in line with the Road Transport Order (Parking Space Allocation) MBSA (Amendment) 2023.

“No appeal and compound reduction will be given for offences in relation to the abuse of the two-hour parking spaces.”

It added that the usual discounted RM10 flat rate for compound payments made within 24 hours will not be applicable.

Payments for the two-hour parking can be made via multiple different mobile applications, including Smart Selangor Parking, Flexi Parking, GoPayy, Jom Parking, Touch n’ Go eWallet dan Setel.
