Bank Rakyat today celebrated its Business Banking segment customers through the organisation of an afternoon tea ceremony held at the Bank Rakyat Twin Towers in conjunction with the Bank’s 69th anniversary on 28 September.
In his speech, Acting Chairman of Bank Rakyat, Datuk Mohd Irwan Mohd Mubarak said, “The purpose of this event is to further strengthen the relationship between Bank Rakyat and customers, especially from the Business Banking segment, as well as as a sign of the Bank’s appreciation to customers who always support its products and services. every year.
The support given includes in terms of Bank administration, financing, savings and good relations in terms of the morals of both parties,” he said.
At the event, Bank Rakyat also introduced its latest financing program, the BRPlus-i financing program, as its initiative to support the development of national entrepreneurs, especially from the micro, small and medium enterprise (MSMEs) sector, cooperatives and women entrepreneurs to advance their businesses.
According to Datuk Mohd Irwan, through the BRPlus-i financing program, Bank Rakyat offers a special financing limit of up to RM1 million with a competitive profit rate through a total fund allocation of RM500 million.
In addition, a special BRPlus-i BizLady package developed specifically for female entrepreneurs is also provided with the same product features and offers.
Datuk Mohd Irwan also informed that Bank Rakyat is offering a new prize structure Rizq Plus Investment Account-i and lucrative prizes totaling RM5.8 million with a main prize worth RM1 million to lucky customers from early last August until January 2025.
An increase in the total prize amount to RM5 .8 million compared to the RM1 million offered before is to ensure that more customers have a chance to win the lucky draw category held throughout the period in question.
Rizq Plus Investment-i Account holders whether new or existing customers have a chance to win seven categories of draws including monthly draws (general category and state level), quarterly, half-yearly, Bank Rakyat anniversary draw, special festival draw, grand prize draw and various special draws. More interestingly, customers are also eligible to win more than one category at a time.
Since the launch of the Rizq Plus-i Investment Account, more than 1,500 lucky winners have received a total cash prize draw worth RM1 million.
Apart from cash prizes, under the new prize structure of the Rizq Plus Investment Account-i, customers also have the opportunity to take home prizes in the form of gold as well as a share dividend profit percentage declared for five years based on the value of shares amounting to up to RM100,000.
Since its introduction last year, nearly 20,000 Rizq Plus Investment Account-i holders have been registered with a total investment of over RM100 million.
This investment product was first introduced in July 2022 with a minimum investment as low as RM100 and a minimum account balance as low as RM50 as well as a competitive investment return estimate.
This product is provided to enable customers to create separate investment portfolios as support savings and alternative income streams and not just rely on the mandatory contributions of existing retirement schemes.
The winners of the Rizq Plus Investment Account draw for the months of August and September include Maimunah Din who won the special draw category amounting to RM100,000, Mohamad Rizal Mohamad Alway the monthly draw winner of RM10,000, Badaria Muhammat the winner of the monthly draw amounting to RM5,000, Khairul Azman Othman the winner of the state draw amounting to RM10,000 and Bibi Hazrina Alli Rahman who is the winner of both the monthly and state draw categories amounting to RM20,000 and RM5,000.

Meanwhile, a prize presentation session was also held for the Fitrah Campaign (PMKS category) which took place from 7 March to 31 May last where the main prize in the form of a Toyota Hilux Double Cab 2.4E AT 4WD car was handed over to the main winner, Akie Group Sdn Bhd. In addition, this campaign also offers cash of RM5,000 to 20 winners in the SME category and cash of RM1,000 to 100 winners of the micro entrepreneur category. This Fitrah campaign is a special campaign organized by Bank Rakyat in conjunction with this year’s Ramadan and Syawal celebrations.
