Honda Malaysia has officially unveiled the All-New Civic Type R, entering the local market at a whopping RM399,900.00, with booking now open.
The Type R is an enthusiast car and Honda Malaysia is limiting it to 19 units for now with applications balloted on who will receive the units once they are available. More units will be available at later stage.
Honda Malaysia Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Hironobu Yoshimura said “The Civic Type R embodies Honda’s core DNA which is the racing spirit while at the same time leveraging our deep roots to constantly exceed ourselves in everything that we do and create.”
The car packs a powerful 2.0L VTEC Turbo engine that produces a mighty 319PS and 420Nm of torque, giving it a 0-100km/h speed in 5.5 seconds.
