Malaysia Productivity Corporation (MPC) is inviting the business community from all sectors to participate in a “Productivity Step-Up” programme.
In a statement on Wednesday, the MPC said it cannot emphasise enough the “critical role” played by productivity across all industries and the importance of harnessing the power of technology and digitalisation to elevate productivity and foster innovation.
“We firmly believe that by boosting productivity, Malaysia can solidify its position as a global leader in the ever-evolving landscape of industry, as aimed under the New Industrial Master Plan (NIMP),” its deputy director general Zahid Ismail said.
He said the programme is a comprehensive initiative designed to empower businesses encompassing manufacturing, services and agriculture.
“The programme is set to engage over 1,000 companies, [and] targets significant improvement of 5%-10% in key performance indicators such as productivity, quality, cost, delivery, safety, morale and environment, highlighting MPC’s dedication to boosting productivity, while embracing digital transformation,” Zahid said.
He said MPC’s initiative to engage the business community, comprising entrepreneurs and stakeholders from all sectors, to improve their business processes underscores its commitment to help the country as it seeks a position among the top global 12 in the World Competitiveness Ranking via efforts in strategic digitalisation.
