AFFIN ISLAMIC participated in the prestigious 18th Kuala Lumpur Islamic Finance Forum (KLIFF).
Themed “Harnessing Islamic and Social Finance for A Sustainable Future”, KLIFF serves as a crucial forum where the Islamic finance community meets to engage in insightful dialogues and envision the future of Islamic finance.
At the event, AFFIN ISLAMIC proudly showcased its support for the Association of Islamic Banking and Financial Institutions of Malaysia (AIBIM) myWakaf initiative.
On 19 September 2023, AIBIM unveiled myWakaf 2.0, marking a pivotal evolution in this initiative. This development exemplifies AIBIM’s unwavering dedication towards advancing philanthropic values and fostering shared prosperity for the entire Malaysian community, particularly the underserved.
CEO of Affin Islamic Bank Berhad, YBhg. Dato’ Paduka Syed Mashafuddin Syed Badarudin said, “MyWakaf collaborates with the State Islamic Religious Councils (SIRC) to expand cash waqf collection channels while emphasising good governance, transparency, and effective project management.”
“Through the Solar Dome Dryer initiative (SDD) under MyWakaf 2.0, AFFIN ISLAMIC actively plays a part together with other participating banks and SIRC to empower local communities’ economic activities. The SDD initiative promotes the production of dried agricultural products through enhanced hygiene processes and improved quality, thereby increasing the income of participating households,” he concluded.
