Epicon Secures RM130.8 Million Cable Contract For TNB Project

Epicon has received a letter of award through its wholly-owned subsidiary Transnational Builder Sdn. from Ibrahim & Sons Engineering Sdn. Bhd. to the subcontractor for a TNB project worth RM130.8 million.

The job scope includes the installation, testing and commissioning of 11 Kilovolts Aluminium Cross-Linked Polyethylene underground cables and accessories for asset development in all zones, distribution network division, Tenaga Nasional Berhad – Mainhead C and Mainhead D.

3KV Aluminium XLPE underground cables and accessories for asset development all zones, distribution network division, TNB – Mainhead C: Utara (Perak) and (Kedah). Underground cables and accessories, overhead, civil and services 11KV Aluminium XLPE for flood barrier 2022/2023 – East Zone for TNB distribution, Mainhead A –Kelantan, Terengganu and Pahang.

Epicon is to procure and supply all materials and labour, installation of pipelines, cables, and jointing inclusive of all site excavation and restoration works; Testing and commission of pipelines, cables, and jointing; and all other relevant works as required.

The contract period is 12 months commencing from 3 October 2023 to 2 October 2024, with an option to renew for a further period of 12 months subject to mutual agreement by TBSB and ISESB in writing.
