KL, PJ Full Water Restoration On 13 Oct Instead: Air Selangor

Air Selangor updated its recovery status for all areas of Petaling, Kuala Lumpur, and Hulu Langat regions affected by the asset upgrading, maintenance and replacement works in Sungai Langat Water Treatment Plant (Sg Langat WTP), as of 6:00 pm today, the water supply recovery in the affected areas has reached 64.6%.

However, affected areas in Petaling and Kuala Lumpur regions are expected to fully recover at 6:00 am, 13 October 2023 (Friday).

Air Selangor said it will continue to actively mobilise alternative water supply via 81 water tankers to the affected areas with priority given to critical premises such as hospitals, clinics, dialysis centres, and funerals.

The state water management company said despite all efforts to minimise the impact caused by technical issues on site that are unavoidable, the recovery period had to be extended to ensure the supply of clean and safe treated water can be distributed to consumers.

It also apologise to the consumers for any inconvenience caused due to the delay of the full recovery. Our focus now is to ensure that the water supply recovery process runs smoothly.
