OpenSys (M) Berhad had accepted a Letter of Award from Malayan Banking Berhad for the project known as “Outsourcing of Outward Cheque Clearing At Maybank Branches in Malaysia” to process Maybank’s outward clearing cheques for all the
branches nationwide.
The Contract sum is RM105.0 million excluding 6% Sales and Service Tax and will be for a period of seven years commencing from 1st January 2024 to 31st December 2030.
Save for the normal operational risks, the Board of Directors of OpenSys is not aware of other risk factors that may arise from the Contract.
Opensys said the contract will have no effect on the share capital and shareholding structure of the Company but it is expected to contribute positively to the earnings and net assets per share of the Group for the financial year ending 31st December 2024 until the expiry of the Contract.
