‘Accelerate 5G Adoption, AI, IoT For Businesses’

The final editions of CelcomDigi MY5G Series, highlighted the need to accelerate 5G adoption and leveraged digital solutions to advance their digital transformation efforts and drive business growth.

The third and final editions of the annual CelcomDigi MY5G CEO Round, which was held today (Oct 17), was attended by captains of the industry, provided this insights.

The series, aimed at accelerating 5G adoption across businesses and driving development and leadership among business leaders in Malaysia.

CelcomDigi chief executive officer Datuk Idham Nawawi said the company is committed to building a sustainable 5G ecosystem by creating synergies with different industries, leveraging innovative solutions and 5G technology.

“We have seen how the shift from 3G to 4G saw the birth of entirely new ecosystems, applications, and services. Similarly, 5G will also present an unprecedented opportunity for businesses to create new value propositions, innovative applications, and groundbreaking services that we have yet to even imagine.

“As an enabler of 5G in Malaysia, we fully believe in this transformative potential of 5G for businesses to expand and scale with agility and efficiency,” said Idham.

This third edition of the CEO roundtable session was held in collaboration with strategic leaders and global technology enablers with speakers from Amazon Web Services, Boston Consulting Group, Huawei and SK Telecom.

Among the focal point of discussion is how business across the world embraced 5G-powered technologies and leveraged digital solutions like AI, IoT and machine learning to advance their digital transformation efforts and drive business growth.

Idham said the company continues its efforts to educate and promote 5G and its benefits to large enterprises as well as small and medium enterprise (SMEs) through a series of activities such as inaugural MY5G Conference and Tech Showcase on 25 October 2023 at MITEC, Kuala Lumpur, and several hands-on digital workshops for SMEs next month in Alor Setar and Kota Kinabalu.
