Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad handed over prizes to 12 Al-Awfar campaign winners, including the Millionaire Draw, Monthly Draw, 13 States Draw, Jom Pindah Gaji Draw, New Saver Draw and 50for50 Draw.
At the event, a teacher from Teluk Intan, Perak, Azila Yahya, was crowned as the 40th Al- Awfar Millionaire. Additionally, 11 other winners received the main prizes of the monthly and quarterly draws, each consisting of cash prizes ranging from RM20,000 to RM100,000.
Bank Islam Director of Deposit and Cards, Mohd Noor Jab, presented the prizes to the winners. Also present was the Bank’s Head of Retail Development and Small and Medium Enterprises, Norman Awang.
Launched in March 2009, Al-Awfar is an innovative low-risk investment account product based on the Mudarabah concept. Al-Awfar funds are invested in the Bank’s existing House and Fixed Asset Financing portfolios to ensure sustainable investment.
In conjunction with Bank Islam’s 40th anniversary, the Al-Awfar has been enhanced to offer more rewards to account holders. The New Al-Awfar – Wow! Banyaknya! The campaign now offers rewards worth more than RM18 million across 15 draw categories. The prizes include a BMW 320i M Sport, a Tesla Model-Y car, a 1-kilogram gold bar, and 2 Harley Davidson motorcycles.
Since 2009, 40 customers have won RM1 million in cash each and become Al-Awfar Millionaires. Beginning July 2023, the new Al-Awfar has awarded RM1 million in cash prizes to four Al-Awfar Millionaire Draw winners. The draw is organised every three months.
