Bursa Malaysia Remains Mixed At Midday

Bursa Malaysia stayed mixed at midday on Friday, as profit-taking in selected construction and technology counters offset earlier gains, said a dealer.

At lunch break, the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) added 2.39 points to 1,442.99, from Thursday (Oct 26)’s closing of 1,440.60.

The benchmark index opened 0.11 of-a-point better at 1,440.71, and moved between 1,439.33 and 1,444.15 during the session.

However, on the broader market, decliners beat gainers 393 to 294, while 421 counters were unchanged, 1,284 untraded and 24 suspended.

Turnover stood at 1.48 billion units, worth RM737.86 million.
