China’s PMI Dips In October

The purchasing managers’ index (PMI) for China’s manufacturing sector came in at 49.5 in October, down from 50.2 last month, data showed Tuesday.

However, its non-manufacturing activity maintained expansion in October, with the purchasing managers’ index for the sector reaching 50.6, the National Bureau of Statistics said Tuesday.

A reading above 50 indicates expansion, while a reading below reflects contraction
