Bursa Continues To Decline With Mid- And Small-Cap Stocks Leading Losses

Bursa Malaysia stayed lower at midday on Wednesday with continuing losses led by mid- and small-cap stocks.

At 12.30pm, the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) was down 3.41 points, or 0.23%, to 1,438.73 from Tuesday’s closing of 1,442.14.

The benchmark index opened 0.97 of a point lower at 1,441.17 and moved between 1,436.7 and 1,441.59 throughout the morning session.

On the broader market, losers led gainers 483 to 237 while 397 counters were unchanged, 1,233 untraded and 14 suspended.

Turnover stood at 1.5 billion units worth RM757.35 million.
