MYAirlines Disputes Reports Of All Aircraft Reclaimed By Lessors

MYAirline has disputed reports that all of its 10 aircraft have been deregistered by its lessors, in a statement sent to BusinessToday, the distressed airline confirmed that six aircraft have been deregistered by its lessors while four are still registered.

It said the action by the lessors is consistent with standard industry practices aimed at safeguarding lessors’ assets.
Presently, four aircraft remain registered and continue to be managed by lessors and assisted by MYAirline’s Continuing Airworthiness Management Organization (CAMO).

The group also said it it important to note that these aircraft have been under lessor control since October 13, 2023, and this is not a recent development and is in discussions with lessors with the intention of retaining these aircraft once the recapitalization process concludes.

On the suspension of ASL and AOC licenses, MYAirline clarified that it has been suspended and not revoked, contrary to certain reports. It maintains the perspective that the suspension of licenses serves the interests of the organization, given its
historical track record in maintaining a strong operational environment, especially in terms of technical, safety, and operational aspects.
