Selangor Govt Allocates RM133 Million For Water Resources Management

The Selangor government allocates RM133 million to ensure the organised and efficient water resources management including for irrigation, drainage and water supply.

At the tabling of Selangor Budget 2024 today, Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari said the state government allocates RM68 million for Selangor Irrigation and Drainage Department (JPS) for 2024.

Besides that, he said the state also allocates RM65 million for flood mitigation project, drainage system development, river basin development, and other water resources related management.

“We will also work closely with the federal government to coordinate and for faster implementation of the flood mitigation project in Selangor, with an estimated cost of around RM3 billion such the Sungai Langat Phase 2 project, which is under the federal government,” he said.
