Institut Jantung Negara (IJN) today celebrated the opening of its second-ever retail pharmacy outlet, IJN First Pharmacy, at 1 Utama Shopping Centre in Petaling Jaya.
IJN First Pharmacy launched last year with its inaugural outlet at IJN’s premises in Kuala Lumpur, with the aim of meeting growing consumer demand for access to quality medications. The establishment of the new pharmacy outlet, located on the ground floor at 1 Utama’s old wing, reflects IJN’s drive to expand its pharmacy services to even more Malaysians.
Today’s launch offered visitors a preview of the pharmacy’s offerings, and was officiated by IJN Holdings Chairman Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad and IJN Holdings Group Chief Executive Officer Datuk Dr Aizai Azan Abdul Rahim.
In addition to filling prescriptions and offering medication counselling, IJN First Pharmacy also offers a wide range of over-the-counter medications as well as other health and wellness supplies. All items stocked at IJN First Pharmacy, from medications to health items, are carefully selected and vetted for their safety, effectiveness, and affordability.
True to IJN’s dedication to bolstering local ventures, IJN First Pharmacy strives to be a platform for showcasing an array of top-tier Malaysian products. By amplifying the availability of quality local goods, the pharmacy not only aims to enhance their visibility but also actively contribute to the growth of local businesses and foster a thriving sense of community.
“As healthcare providers, we are always thinking about ways to strengthen the continuum of care. This means looking beyond doctors’ consultations and coming up with ways of continuously caring for patients over the long term. In this sense, it is important for us to meet patients where they are, and bring our services to them. IJN First Pharmacy is a practical step towards this patient-centric approach, and we are proud to be able to support our fellow homegrown brands as well,” said Dr Aizai.
