Capital A’s Revenue More Than Doubles To RM4.23 Billion This Quarter

Capital A is turning the corner but not all there yet, for the current quarter, the group reported a revenue of RM4.23 billion which was was more than double the revenue in the same period of 2022, the increase it said was mainly attributed to the strong recovery in demand from both domestic and international travel.

In the third quarter, 86% of the Group’s revenue was attributed to the aviation segment while the logistics, digital, and other businesses contributed the remaining 14% to the Group. The Group reported a positive EBITDA of RM448.0 million in 3Q2023 as compared to an EBITDA of RM72.3 million in 3Q2022 following the improvement in the overall performance of the aviation segment.

The Group reported a net loss of RM468.7 million in 3Q2023 as compared to a net loss of RM1,143.4 million in 3Q2022. The current quarter recorded a foreign exchange loss of RM169.3 million due to the appreciation of USD against the local currencies of the Group during the quarter.

For the nine months, Capital A recorded a revenue of RM9.9 billion against 9M2022 of RM4.2 billion with profits coming in at RM996 million versus a loss of RM2.73 billion in the 9M 2022.
