Dusit Hotels And Resorts To Manage First Malaysian Hotel In Collaboration With Gamuda Land

Dusit Hotels and Resorts, the esteemed hotel arm of Dusit International, has inked a Hotel Management Agreement with Gamuda Land, Malaysia’s premier property developer.

The collaboration marks a milestone as it introduces ASAI Gamuda Cove, Dusit’s inaugural hotel in Malaysia and Gamuda Land’s pioneering venture into the hospitality sector.

Scheduled for a grand opening in Q1 2026, ASAI Gamuda Cove is strategically positioned within the expansive Gamuda Cove township, adjacent to the Paya Indah Discovery Wetlands. Encompassing 1,530 acres, Gamuda Cove promises a meticulously planned environment featuring residential and commercial spaces.

Notable attractions include the operational SplashMania Waterpark and Discovery Park, aligning with a commitment to sustainability and a low carbon footprint. The hotel’s convenient location ensures accessibility, with Kuala Lumpur airport just a 20-minute drive away and the city centre reachable in 40 minutes.

ASAI Gamuda Cove falls under the distinctive ASAI Hotels brand, focusing on locally rooted lifestyle experiences for curious travelers in vibrant neighborhoods worldwide.

This 280-key hotel becomes the first property under Dusit’s ‘ASAI Tropical’ model, designed specifically for locations boasting exceptional natural beauty.

In line with Dusit’s inner-city ASAI Hotels in Bangkok and Kyoto, ASAI Tropical hotels will offer compact rooms featuring essential amenities such as plush beds and invigorating showers. What sets this model apart is an array of facilities including an infinity pool, diverse dining venues, expanded event spaces, and various room categories, including family-friendly options.

Nestled in the southern region of Gamuda Cove, ASAI Gamuda Cove is designed to foster community integration by incorporating local identity into its design language. Surrounded by lush greenscapes, the hotel harmoniously blends with the adjacent wetlands and a sprawling 90-acre Wetlands Arboretum, directly accessible from the hotel.

CEO of the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA), Datuk Wira Arham Abdul Rahman, emphasised the significance of Gamuda Land’s launch of ASAI Gamuda Cove in Selangor’s hospitality scene. The collaboration signifies positive business sentiment in Malaysia’s tourism sector and aligns with the country’s progressive move towards sustainable development.

ASAI Gamuda Cove aims to cater to both domestic and international tourists, complementing Gamuda Cove’s eco-tourism activities. The Chief Commercial Officer at Gamuda Land, Mr. Eusoffe Chua, expressed excitement about the collaboration, highlighting the shared commitment to creating interconnected spaces for living, working, and recreational experiences.

Meanwhile COO of Dusit International, Gilles Cretallaz, expressed the honor of managing the first hotel within the dynamic Gamuda Cove development.

With its stunning location and sustainable credentials, Gamuda Cove perfectly aligns with the ASAI brand’s spirit, promising a unique and unforgettable hotel experience that immerses guests in Malaysia’s diverse cultural tapestry and the natural beauty of the wetlands.

Dusit’s property portfolio spans 19 countries, with 56 hotels under Dusit Hotels and Resorts and approximately 240 luxury villas under Elite Havens. Over 60 Dusit Hotels and Resorts are in the pipeline globally.
