The Marini’s Group Offers Festive Dining Delights For The Holiday Season

It’s that jolly time of year, where we start to gather with family and friends for festive cheer. The Marini’s Group has curated some of its signature dishes and seasonal favourites – with a festive touch – to provide guests with delightful dining experiences this Christmas and New Year’s Eve.

Good food, fine wine and great company are some things that guests can raise a glass to in the upcoming year-end celebrations. They will be able to do just that in the sky-high settings of two Michelin Select establishments – the Marini’s on 57 Restaurant and Marble 8 Steakhouse. Both restaurants are offering different prix fixe menus for the year-end celebrations.

At the Marini’s on 57 Restaurant, the Christmas dinner starts off with a house favourite – Scrambled Eggs with Parmesan cheese foam and black truffles, followed by a savoury twist on a traditional cannolo – a delicious Prawn & Crab Cannolo with lime mayonnaise, pomegranate jelly, salmon & herring roe and chives. 

Next up is a decadent Ravioli with Ricotta and Black Truffle, with a butter parmesan cheese sauce and balsamic reduction, garnished with black truffle shavings. The Marini’s on 57 Restaurant offers three proteins for the main course – guests can go traditional with a Baked Turkey with Chestnut Purée, red cabbage, gravy and cranberry sauce, or go light with Baked Cod Fish with Chickpea and Rosemary Cream,roasted pumpkin and braised leeks. For something hearty, opt for the Braised Beef Cheek with celeriac purée, Brussels sprouts and green asparagus.

The evening’s sweet treat is an elevated version of a classic Italian frozen dessert – indulge in smooth textures and rich flavours of the Panettone Semifreddo where a  slice of panettone is stuffed with rum and raisin ice cream and served with rum Chantilly cream and meringue.

New Year’s Eve is a celebration of past, present and future – guests will be able to reflect on the year that was and the year to come while enjoying the eight-course dinner selection that Marini’s on 57 Restauranthas curated. 

The dinner begins with selection of bites that offer different flavours and textures – the briny yet fresh flavours of Gallagher Oyster with Champagne Vinaigrette and Beluga Caviar; a buttery Pan-seared Foie Gras with brioche bread, dried figs and green apple chutney; and our signature Scrambled Eggs with Parmesan foam and winter black truffle shavings. 

Our trio of starters is then followed by delicate Hokkaido Scallops with parsnip puree, earthy porcini mushroom cream and salmon roe. The dinners continues with Lobster Tail Risotto with lobster bisque and foam for the first main dish, followed by the second main dish of choice. Take your pick of a Wagyu Tenderloin Score 9 with black truffle sauce, roasted potatoes and  mushroom & bone marrow timbale; or Roasted Tasmanian Ocean Trout with cauliflowers purée, mashed beetroot and Beluga caviar white butter sauce. 

The culinary journey for the evening continues with subtle Truffle Taleggio Cheese, where slices of the mild, buttery cheese with fruit tones and a tang are paired with toasted sourdough bread and red radicchio. The sweet ending to the evening is a tribute to one of the highest mountains in Europe, the Monte Bianco. Our Monte Bianco dessert has meringue peaks concealing a chestnut paste with rum-flavoured Chantilly cream and edible gold flakes added for a finishing touch. 

The Marini’s on 57 Christmas 2023 set dinner menu is available on 24 and 25 December 2023 and is priced at RM680++ for non-window seating and RM780++ per person for window seating. The New Year’s Eve set dinner menu is available only on 31 December 2022 and is priced at RM1,180++ per person for non-window seating and to RM1,280++per person for window seating. 

Marble 8’s curated festive menu is also offering a variety of dishes to tempt the palate. Guests who order from the Christmas menu will find dinner beginning with a delightful amuse bouche of a Mini Christmas Japanese Wagyu Burger with a beetroot bun. The starter is Marinated Ocean Trout with passionfruit tiger’s milk marinade, trout roe, squid ink sago tuille & fresh chives

For the third course, savour the rich earthy flavours of the Porcini Risottoserved with Parmesan foam and fresh truffle shavings. Next is the Turkey Roulade stuffed with chestnut and figs with turkey jus, mixed berries compote and heirloom carrot purée as the accompaniments. 

Choose from Braised Wagyu Beef Cheeks or Seared Cod with Champagne Caviar Sauce for the entrée – both dishes are served with a side of butter-glazed asparagus and saffron mashed potatoes. The Christmas dinner ends with a warm Christmas Fruit Cake served with Glenlivet 12 Single Malt Scotch Whisky, a vanilla anglaise sauce and vanilla gelato. 

The Marble 8 New Year’s Eve offerings start with an amuse bouche of a Mini Japanese Wagyu Burger, followed by the Lobster and Scallop Duo. This refreshing starter pairs lobster and scallop with celeriac dill cream, chive oil and black truffle shavings to whet your appetite for more.

Next up on the menu is Cauliflower Caviar Soup which lets you enjoy the subtle flavours of charred cauliflower and purple cauliflower cream with the richness of Beluga Caviar interspersed. The pasta of the evening is a treat to the senses with its aromatic scent and flavours – house-made Truffle Porcini Raviolo served with parmesan truffle cream and blueberries.

For the entrée, Marble 8’s star protein for New Year’s Eve is a Wagyu Tenderloin M9 served with Sarawak peppercorn sauce, grilled asparagus and potato millefeuille. The non-beef option is a Baked Ocean Troutserved with sautéed vegetables, saffron potatoes & saffron butter cream. 

The sweet ending to the final meal for 2023 is a Semifreddo with Fresh Almonds, that will be served with a 70% Valrhona chocolate sauce. 

The Marble 8 Christmas 2023 set is available on 24 December and 25 December and is priced at RM678++ per person. The Marble 8 New Year’s Eve menu is available only on 31 December, at RM888++ per person.
